Long over due!

So this is long over due- but this month as been SUPER busy and crazy for us!! Lily is 9months old now!! i cant believe it- mostly i cant believe she will be 1 in 3 months!! =( makes me sad but super excited for all the new, FUN stuff she will be doing!! At 9 months and 1 weeks and 1 day old- after a LONG drive home from Alabama Lily took her FIRST steps!! i was soooo proud- and so was she!! she looked up at me with those big blue eyes and i could just feel the amazement she had at what she had just done!! shes not "Walking" but will take 4-5 steps at a time with mommy or daddy coaching!! I always thought she would walk early- she has done ALOT early- but seeing your baby walk for the first time is like no other feeling!! i can actually visualize the toddler stage now~ WOW!

Lily is still is size 2 diapers! She only weighs 14.5lbs- and is about 26in long. still my little peanut! <3 BUT the doctor was a little concerned about the fact that she had only gained 1lb since her 6month check-up- soooo unfortunately we had to start her on formula- she is taking to it very well- we are on week 2! BUT *yes, another but!* she has still yet to gain much more weight- we went back to the doctor today and she packed on a whole 5oz!! so she goes back in ONE week to hopefully see another !/2 pound on her skinny booty! If not... we will have to get some blood work done to make sure there nothing going on- the kid eats EVERYTHING these days so it has been a BIG surprise that shes not gaining much weight- baby food... pretty much everything, squash, green beans, peas, mix vegs, garden vegs, bananas, apples, yogurt, juice, spaghetti, chicken, rice... i mean ALOT!! she also has 24-30 fluid oz of formula now too!! so were keeping our fingers crossed that shes just little and theres nothing else to it- ANOTHER shocker- they found a heart murmur today too! the doctor said its VERY normal, and probably isnt any cause for concern but we are still shocked and scared as im sure most parents are when they hear those words- also another prayer request from the rivers family- PLEASE let me be normal!! when we go back to the doctor on monday *12-27* we will get an appt. to see a cardiologist to have it checked out!!

But on a HAPPY note- CHRISTMAS is just a few days away!! and we are sooo looking forward to watching lily have the time of her life!!! here are some pics of whats been going on this month!! more to follow with our christmas update!!

Day 4

My RENTS! 

My moms name is Kara- she is my best friend. She has made me who I am as a Mother, Friend, Sister and Daughter! I honestly don't think I ever go more than a day without talking to her- and no more than a week or two without seeing her sweet face!! 

My dads name is Tommy- he is my rock! I can call him for anything and he always knows what to say to make me feel better! I don't get to see him as much as I would like now that I am living in GA- but he is and has always been a very big part of my life!

I was also blessed with 2 amazing step parents- my moms husband Alan and my dads wife Kelly! They also play a big role in my everyday life- I must say I am very lucky to have the 4 of them! They are ALL WONDERFUL grandparents as well! Seeing them love and spoil my little baby just melts my heart!! 

one month later....

so i just realized that i haven't done a blog in a full month!!!! YIKES- =) i really like to do these things so that one day lily and i can look back at all the things we did over the years- in words... and pictures!! and look at me- haven't taken ANY time to get on and write about life! =( *i think i have mentioned b4 that im a HUGE procrastinator... well heres proof! =) *

anyway... back to BLOGGING! in the past month lily has grown into such a busy little baby! she crawls all over the place!! im chasing her somewhere almost every 5 or 10 min. she loses interest in things pretty quickly- actually its more like she sees something new and HAS to explore! i love it tho- seeing her sweet little face when she discovers how to do something new- 

lately she has been getting into the books on tables, and book shelves. unfortuntly for me they are all within reach for her! =) she will pull them all down and scramble them along the hardwood floor! she also like to push off the blankets i always have nicly folded on the bottom of a side table in the living room... climb up on it and look out the window. its preety stinking cute! shes also figuring out that she will fall if shes not careful.. so when shes been standing and is ready to sit back down she will slowly lower herself to the floor holding one hand down to catch herself! i love how smart she is, and how cute everything she does seems to be! 

She is currently cutting her 4 front TOP teeth.. so that makes 6 now!! we have started to venture into table food and found that she LOVES green beans- she sucks out the beans first! =) she also likes spaghetti, french fries, bread, mashed potatoes, and now that i think about it- pretty much everything we put in front of her. im hoping she stays my good little eater!! =)

Were still in size one diapers, 3-6 month clothing, and most 6month clothing. Shes starting to "cruise"!! says "dada" for almost EVERYTHING!! but DOES know who "dada" is! were venturing into getting her sleeping thru the night without needing help getting back to sleep- which is going pretty well!!! 

Hands down this has to be my favortie stage so far! she has the cutest personality- and shes just so happy all the time!! Until next time <3

Crawling and Family Pictures!

And shes off!! Lily has finally mastered the "crawl"!! i thought i would be so sad for this day to come... she wouldn't have to rely on me to get her from point a- to point b- she would just take off!! and that she does!! but i have to say the sight of my baby girl crawling all over the floor, and hearing her sweet voice babbling throughout the halls is like Christmas day when your 6 and realize Santa brought you  EVERYTHING  you wanted!! =) i just LOVE chasing her around. I cant say the same for my 2 dogs... i don't think they really know what they are in for! so 6 months and 10 days was the official CRAWLING age for LL! <3

On another note- we took our family/6 months pictures. It went AWESOME. took about 3 hours.. WHEW- and 1000 pics were snapped!! ALOT huh?? i haven't gotten the CD with all the pics but do have a few in my possession. so here is a sneak peak-

FIRST TOOTH!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!! so my 4 1/2 month old cut her very first tooth yesterday!! i have been trying to get a pic of the cute little thing but all she does is bite me or stick out her tongue... i did manage to get a little shot on video so check out that on my youtube page!! anyway- shes not too fussy... just has bad diarrhea! so thats not been fun.. but im glad shes feeling ok- ANYWAY.. just thought that was pretty exciting!!! and wanted to share!!!
