The Best 6 months of my Life!

So, were already at the 6 month mark! i cant believe it!! still seems like yesterday i was bringing her home from the hospital.. thinking about how cute and fun it will be when shes sitting up, playing with her toys, crawling, and talking up a storm! well, now that we are here im missing the little cuddling stage- and also how much she used to sleep!! LOL but she is the MOST AMAZING child i have ever met!! her smiles are like sunshine- her sweet little voice melts my heart- and i look forward to watching her learn and explore every day!! so heres what my little monster is up to these days...

Still in size 2 diapers
Sitting up *like a pro!
Says Hi- and Dada *not sure if she MEANS to tho! =)
Does the "army crawl" 
FLIRTS with everyone!!
Talks all day.. and i mean ALL day!
Pulls up in her crib- and on the couch
Has the feeling of accomplishment when she does pull herself up- 
LOVES the remote control.. she will climb all over you to get it
Eats SNACKS- puffs, wagon wheels, cheese sticks <--- the baby ones
Wearing 3-6months, still 0-3 in shorts
Has doubled her birth weight!

 

 
So... her eating habbits are pretty much the same- she LOVES food!! =) eats alot of table food now. still has 3 meals a day... and still nurses 6-8 times a day. im working on weaning... still want her to get the BM but she has started waking up 4/5 times a night to have "mommy/nursing" time. i know shes not hungry b.c i have offered my BM in a bottle... and she wont take it. the lack of sleep *going on about a month* is really starting to get to me and im pretty sure she should have no problems sleeping thru the night- so we have been working on that BUT she got sick for the first time on Friday- started running a fever of 102! found out at the doctor that day she had an ear infection. so shes been on some meds since friday and seems to be MUCH better! 
 
we did get to take her to the park for the first time on monday. they didnt have baby swings so all we could do is watch other kids play and slide. she totally enjoyed being there tho! cant wait to take her back! theres actually another park close to where we live that DOES have more baby friendly things to do so were planning to get out there soon! we also have "family/6months" pics planned for next sunday so im TOTALLY Stoked about that!! 

 

ALSO she had her 6month appt this morning, and she is doing GREAT. were still in the 5th % for weight but they are def. not worried. and neither and i- i was small as a baby as well so i think shes doing just fine. she weights 13.12lbs, 26 1/2 inches- which means she grew 2.5in and gained 2lbs in 2 months. but other than that its the same old same old!! i will do a post as soon as i have the pics back and show you guys!!! *also i have some more recent pics on my camera that i wanted to use for this post... but my camera is dead so i will post another entry of some cute pics i took this weekend!! 5 1/2 months

5 months old

My little monkey is 5 months old!! Actually shes just a couple days shy of 5 1/2 months. It still seems like yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital- but then again i cant really remember our lives without her- =) isn't that strange! being a stay at home mom only gets better and better! i know its flying by but i never miss anything- so at the same time i don't really feel like its going by too fast! I'M DEFINITELY VERY LUCKY~!  so here is what miss Lily is up to these days!

She still wears 0-3 months clothes but can wear most of her 3-6 months clothes too

She is in between size 1 and 2 diapers... FYI they sell Pampers 1-2 size diapers at Sams!! pretty cool!

She probably weighs about 13 or 14 lbs which is over double her birth weight!

She absolutely LOVES veggies~

She is eating 3 meals a day- 

breakfast- fruit and oatmeal cereal 

lunch- a fruit or a veggie

dinner- veggie

She has her two bottom teeth! 

She LOVES her feet!

She is SOOOOOO happy when she wakes up! even from naps *actually theres not much that makes her mad- dirty diaper or too sleepy*

She smiles aprox. 200 times a day! Ü

She has mastered the johnny jumper!

She can pretty much sit up!

She LOVES mickey mouse clubhouse!

Shes still sleeping in our room at night-

She still wakes up at about 3:30 for a feeding

 We just recently got back from a short trip to Alabama- at my friend Ambers house- she has a little girl *payton* that's almost 2- actually she was born on the day after my wedding day! anyway, we took them swimming and to the zoo! Lilys first zoo trip! she wasn't really into it- i mean she had a blast watching all the other kids- and there were a few times we got to get pretty close to some animals like kangaroos, goats, and flamingos- so she definitely didn't know what to think about that! =) we rode the train a couple times too so that was fun- especially all the nuts and bolts around our seat!! lol Lily wants to be big so bad! you can see it in her eyes- wishing she could get up and run around! she actually just started pulling her knees up in the crawling position and rocking!! so i know it wont be too long until shes into EVERYTHING- maybe i should get to baby proofing! oh and we also got her an exer-saucer! WHICH SHE LOVES!!!

I tell you what- being Lily's mommy has been the greatest gift from God!! i love her with every inch of my being! and every day with her only gets better and better!!! Until next time! <3

                                 

poor lily.... =(

Today has been REALLY hard!!! All Lily wants to do is stay attached to my boob!! THANKFULLY shes not using me as a teething ring- just a little bit of security! Im seriously talking about hours upon hours of non stop crying if i wont let her nurse. She has nursed so much every time she burps she spits up! =( I feel so terribly bad for her... We have used orajel- but honestly i think it only helps for about 5min! Also have used motrin... sucks to drug up my baby but at least shes gotten in a couple naps. Any advice on this would be well appreciated!!! *i guess NO baby is perfect!!* <3 until next time...

FIRST TOOTH!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!! so my 4 1/2 month old cut her very first tooth yesterday!! i have been trying to get a pic of the cute little thing but all she does is bite me or stick out her tongue... i did manage to get a little shot on video so check out that on my youtube page!! anyway- shes not too fussy... just has bad diarrhea! so thats not been fun.. but im glad shes feeling ok- ANYWAY.. just thought that was pretty exciting!!! and wanted to share!!!

4 months old- 7/8/10

My teeny tiny baby is now a REAL baby- i mean like the ones most people arnt scared to hold- i honestly cant remember my life with out her anymore- but it still feels like yesterday i woke up from a nap and my water broke! i think i say this in like every blog- but i LOVE being a mommy!! and being a STAY at HOME mommy is the BEST job in the world~ now my little munchkin is 4 months old- here are some of the things lily is doing these days...

Rolls over both ways

Laughs ALOT

Reaches for me and Randy to pick her up! *this just melts my heart*

Shes not so much into crying- more of a whine to let you know shes bored or upset

Plays with her toys-

Puts EVERYTHING including her hands into her mouth

Eats baby food like a pro!

Is fascinated with drinks containing ice-

Sits up pretty well with support

Still in size 1 diapers

Fits MOST 3-6 months clothes

LOVES looking at herself

LOVES the dogs *we have 2*

We did have her 4 months well exam.... 3 shots. =( she slept pretty much all afternoon and the following day~ Also so pretty BIG news... we moved her to her own room and shes doing GREAT!! bed around 9 or 10 and up at 6 almost EVERY night!! Im getting into doing video blogs on YOUTUBE so check them out!!! and i probably wont be doing these as much.. but i will try to get around to it every once in awhile!!! Until next time <3
